And challenging the heavily distorted reflection of the world that we see every day on the screen. All of this is why, in the nearly 15 years since Adbusters launched TV Turnoff Week, it has grown into such a runaway success -- such a success, in fact, that there are now literally dozens of groups dedicated to promoting TV Turnoff, at the local level, in schools, universities, malls and public spaces all across the globe.
