@Misshehkulamppu Johtuisko siitä, että bändi on joensuulainen ;) Joensuulla on monta ylpeydenaihetta suomalaisen pop/rock -musiikin historiassa.

I can see that there's a small exchange of views on the finnish language, so I'm going to write something about it too. I'm from Poland, I can speak english well enough, I study french, italian and spanish. I also learned german (it took me 6 years) but I don't do it anymore. And although I though that apart from romans no other language could attract me that strongly, I was pretty surprised when I had to do with finnish. I find it very difficult yet...appealing because of its beauty.

What are you afraid of, noise or peace? What do you avoid, Loneliness or crowd? Why do you cry, when some child in the neigbour laughs? You are deep water, inapproachable mountain. A Forgotten attic, You are titanic shell. Why do you cry, when some child in the neigbour laughs? Why do you cry, when somebody sings about love? TALK WITH THE VOICE I CAN HEAR, with the words I understand, with the poems I realize. You need subtitles to understand, explainer of the secrets, an all-knowing narrator.

@mullaonpillu Not everyone have the same life experiences. In my life, everyone around me have assumed Finnish to be a harsh and ugly language. Of course I didn't mean we're told that in school or that it's being shouted out in the streets. It's more subtle, and yes, it has been all around me. Only foreigners have ever said to me Finnish sounds beautiful.
