Mother Of Pearl little book review

Just my little review of "Mother of Pearl"....a novel more sophisticated than the books I usually read, but i chalk it up as bein good for me! (lol)

@tweetnes ...Irene, I think you would have great stories to write and share. And I’m glad you could understand what I was saying about 1st person & 3rd person challenges-kinda hard to explain. Mother of Pearl has it’s challenges for me, however, I can still see why folks would like it. Exactly like you said, though, I pushed through it because I did want to see what would happen, and the ending was worth it. Thanks for the comment, Irene –hugs, Jim

Good review Jim. You're not boring at all. Personally, I think whatever sound recording you are using needs changing. Do you use a video recorder integrated into your laptop? Or do you use a seperate video recorder, like the one you find in a digital camera.

@Savior20061 ..Thanks for the comment, Christopher. It’s via my cell phone at the other end of a table, close to where I have to plug it in, I think I know some things I can do to make it better. Otherwise, I might take your advice for some overhauls! Hahaha...‘The Kite Runner’ is a strong book, & it is hard to put down. - Jim

@CombatOasis Try something other than a phone camera. I think they generally have the worst video and sound quality. Just about any other device is better.

@CombatOasis ... mother of pearl easier for me? well, i wont know unless i read it, eh? maybe (though i'm not promising anything ~LOL~) i'll pick it up when i'm at the library .. =) .. but, i will definitely see about getting the kite runner! i think it would be kinda fun to be reading it at about the same time as you (even if i am 100 pages behind! LOL). we'll see if it's available! and, for what it's worth, i don't have any trouble hearing you! i just turn my volume up! ~haha~ .. ;D

@oopspaw ..The book had some challeneges for me…maybe it would be easier for you? Some cool characters in ‘Mother of Pearl’. But when it does work for you, maybe we’ll be reading ‘The Kite Runner” at the same time – wooo hooo! Thanks as always for the Katie-thoughts on this review. I still gotta do a better job of speaking up, dagnabbit! :)

@warmgulfwind ..Took me long enough, huh, Steve. Yes, Joody was super cool, and I did like Even Grade – you’re right: he was the heart of the book. That mortian and the bony woman were a fun pair, I should have mentioned – they were well-drawn and entertaining. Valuable was just like this void of a person who just…who naturally reacted to things that was it. I liked how Jackson changes somewhat, too. While it may not have been a book for me, I do respect it!
