Bicycle pullouts in front of me

Gump rides again. I don't have a lot of bicycles pull out in front of me, but it does happen. The problem with this kind of behavor is that when it happens in front of a car or truck it can be fatal.

Tip on kids biking across your path: aim for their rear wheel. It most likely won't be there when you get close enough to hit them, and if they do stop, it's just a slight swerve around them. There's no way to predict whether they're going to go straight, turn, or stop, and this strategy has served me well in several situations.

@super3325 It's not funny...parent didn't watch his/her kid....What if instead of a bike it was a car or motorcycle? U missing the point... I believe he meant that roads are dangerous.

The little boy went without looking and then hesitated, the older boy looked but made a poor judgement call. I think the lens is somewhat deceiving, it would be cool to overlay your speed onto the video.

Human's are often unpredictable, this is a good reminder of why I slow down and increase my level of alertness whenever I see children in the area. This should be one of the first and most fundamental things a parent teaches their child.
