A Coal Mine against the People

Asia Energy Plc (UK) signed a 30 year contract with the Bangladesh gov't for open-pit coal mining in Phulbari.
For 450 million tons of coal under 54 km2 of land.
- Desertification
- Landscape Changed forever
- 40,000 people will be evicted - 2200 indigenous Santal, Munda and Mahili people will be most affected.
Asia Energy says "77% of the local people support the Phulbari coal mine project"
But on 26 August 2006, some 70,000 people had a different message.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) plans to provide Asia Energy: $100 million in loans
+$200 million in guarantees.
ADB is proud of its environmental and social safeguard policies.
Is it true?

The battle of Phulbari is the battle of all Bangladeshi people.
It is a liberation struggle of a patriotic people against imperialist looters and their local lackeys.

Where will you get the electricity to power to the people of Bangladesh. You have to use your own resources moron. Climate change. Your as bad as all of them. Bangladesh does not put out enough emissions anyway due to the lack of power. So your going to restrict them from having power because of climate change. Your living in a world of your own.
