@nitewalker1111 Hans Baldung - 1484–1545. What can I say? He was ahead of his time...
Also, Baroque has stronger colours and contrast. His paintings are pretty mellow in color and light.
But I totally understand where you get that, it is also difficult for me to distinguish one from the other.

@Zimakaku That may be true but until the baroque period, very few artists would have focused on death in such an obvious way. If it is renaissance it would be very very late into the 16th century or starting into the 17th with baroque.

@nitewalker1111 Nope, romanticism is closer to photography in terms of perspective. The perspective in that picture is very two dimensional and it feels as if the skeleton and woman are posing. It's most likely Renaissance.
