The Pride practicing their pregame at the end of a Monday practice on the intramural fields. This film is raw and completely unedited. Before anyone comments on the band being off musically, please take note of the large, flat, concrete/ birck structures positioned around the practice field, thanks! Please enjoy and go Vols!

Filmed on an iPhone4, sorry for some of the shaky parts, I was standing and holding the camera.

  • Was that some sort of race to see how fast they could finish? Fastest Rocky Top ever. Nice to get a sense of the volume that you don't get in the stadium. (I marched in the late 80s.)

  • @scottvol2 Oh yes, they are quite loud. I heard them distinctly, while they practicing circle drill this past week. I was walking out of Ayres, and they practice on the intramural fields. That is a good 7/10 of a mile away straight shot.

  • Thanks for posting. We live on the other side of the state (Memphis area) and can't see our son often enough. Looking forward to net weekend so we can see him march! Freshman Trumpet this year!! Go Vols!!

  • @mag4973 Glad you enjoyed the video! My roommate and I are actually from around that area as well; I hope your son is enjoying The Pride!

  • Got accepted into the UT School of Music this week on tuba. Can't wait for this summer and fall.

  • @scottvol2 Rocky Top did seem a bit fast, but that was actually correct pregame tempo. It always sounds strange on the intramural field because of the reverberation of the drums off of the T-Rec Building. But that is actually good "practice" for the game- since the fan's lag when they sing Rocky Top with us, as I'm sure you know from your experience. haha

  • @TerranRepublic tell your roomie thanks....one of my fellow youtuber buddies on here ( rondoguitardude ) started school at UT this semester...check him out, he's a diehard vol as well....GO VOLS
