they only hear the accent and the way of speaking since they don't understand the words, portuguese is the closer to french in that respect... so don't be a jerk

No its not. Spanish is more like portuguese. And I speak spanish, english, french and portuguese.

because we don't hear both languages all the time, its not everyday that an american hears french or portuguese and your the clueless one, there should be a s on the end of american
