actually the composer used the melody of the old indonesian song 'Dayung Sampan' for theTeresa Teng's classic Tian Mi Mi. Teresa Teng was quite known for singing songs which have Indonesian origins, for example: Bengawan Solo. It's just that the liyrics are either similar or very different( for Tian Mi Mi's case)... People in those eras don care where the song came from...as long as it sounds good to their ears....Go Figure..
