GiO by Apogee is the ultimate way to record guitar on your Mac. As a new class of guitar pedal, GiO is breaking down the barrier between the computer and the guitarist by creating an authentic and simplified connection to the amazing sounding amps and effects in GarageBand, Logic and MainStage. GiO offers professional quality guitar input to the Mac via USB and studio quality stereo output to headphones powered speakers or an amplifier. GiO is also an intuitive guitar foot pedal that lets you control effects, presets, and recording functions all without touching your computer. This video demonstrates GiOs features and functions and gives an overview of GiOs Logic, MainStage and GarageBand integration.

  • Doesn't the balanced output screw up the impedance if you were wanting to plug it into your amp? Pretty much anytime I've re-amped, I've had to use a DI box.

  • can i replace the guitar with an electric violin? :D

  • Just got a GIO, awesome product!! I do have a question: is there anyway to use the built in computer speakers? For performances , I'll definitely use my amp, but for just tooling around I'd like to be able to change a setting so that I can use the built in computer speakers. Possible or not?

  • @aetmusic Yes you can use any floor pedals along with GiO and then plug into an amp as well.

  • Cost = $395.00 US

  • Q. How much does it cost???

  • @massif20022000 you could use a xlr to quarter inch, but im not sure what it does to the quality of the microphone. Worth a shot tho.

  • If I want to record with a microphone for say voice, I would still need to have a Duet (or One)?

  • cool stuff

  • @charliescoolchannel I love keynote too,but STFU and consider what you're saying.
