@serpentinear86 Two Things you need to make snow shoes: Large-ish evergreen branch and string/twine. It's easy to find if you live in Michigan...

You guys should go up in the appalachians or the Rockies and train during the winters up there, Realy intense and it either makes or breaks you
hey do any of you guys see it being a good idea to get snowshoes? I mean I know it couldnt hurt, but would it be on the lines of a nessecity? Im on limited funds. And Idk If I wanna take the extra weight carrying them around if under the circumstances of what kind of war we might be fighting.

The Sportsmensguide.c om carries a $19 pair of snowshoes made of tough plastic that some of our members have use in training and they work quite well, we were suprised.

These videos are cool but you guys should do a break down of winter gear and systems. Like what kind of winter combat gloves are best for function and warmth?
serpentinear86 2 years ago
We do, and it is in printed form that we go over and hand out at the events. Just haven't put it into a video yet.
In Michigan, I like a big pair of warm mittens hung on cord off my jacket for quick warmth. I wear a lighter pair of wool mittens with the flip-top finger cover for shooting or bow hunting. But when the snow-piss-cold-rain-slush weather hits here, a good pair of neopreme ice fishing gloves under the wool pair is a must. Just consider the number of times you touch the snow .
