i am an ex atheist and used to believe the exact same thing. the bible controls no one, you are free to believe or not to believe. evil men twist scripture to pervert it for their own gains, thats not anything new, its been done for thousands of years. the vatican (which is not christian) accepts aliens because they worship fallen angels, which are behind the whole UFO charade. telling others to "think for themselves" is beyond ironic.

@jamima444 The only reasonable answer would be that they're not angels. This vid states that many ancient civilizations believed giant, human looking "Gods" or angels took human wives. Also, since the word "heaven" in the bible was never translated from a word meaning "a spiritual retirement home" per say. Heaven was almost always translated from words meaning sky or mid-sky. In other words, some other intellectual beings were the "God"(s) and angels.
