  • alto flute in G can have a curved mouth piece or a straight one.

  • @Pmeyer123 Yep! :D Pick the one that is the most comfortable.

  • Just a Quick question can the same alto flute be played with both a straight mouthpiece and a curved one?

  • Wonderful!!

  • Beautiful. This piece is the one nagging at me to buy an alto flute for :=)

  • it's an also with a curved headjoint. A bass has a curved headjoing also but this a an alto because it's smaller than the bass and don't have a bar in the headjoint. Regular flutes like the Gemindhardts and Jupitars offer curved headjoints like this for the Regular flutes.

  • Yes, I actually got an alto flute and my arms are not long enough to play with the straight mouth piece, so I play with the curved mouth piece, this is not only for bass flutes

  • well its not an alsto flute like suggested, its a bass flute

  • What kind of flute is that, with the kink in the end?
