Airchecks from Philadelphia: WHLW 1170 AM Lakewood, NJ 9-19-81 (sign-off), WHLW 1170 AM 10-16-81 (Mike Boyle), WOBM-AM 1170 AM approx. 2-24-82, WOBM-AM 1160 AM Dec. 1988.
The station changed calls from WHLW to WOBM-AM on November 30, 1981. Sometime later, they were granted full-time status and moved to 1160 kHz. Note: Mike Boyle hinted at changes coming in the October 1981 aircheck.

Thanks!! Left the "radio" world last June after programming a bunch of Jersey stations (WMGM, WAYV, WOND, WDHA) until 1988 when I moved over to several radio trade magazines as rock editor (including the now defunct Radio & Records and Billboard, where I was the rock correspondent). I now do web content work in South Jersey.
