Jeep had a ad campaign with the Lost Experience by embedding products in documents etc... this was probably a commercial you could watch on old "footage" found on the dharma server etc... This was done mostly online.

I have a 1979 CJ 7 with a 304 and 3 speed manual (all stock) and it is terrible on the highway. It only does around 60-65 tops.

if you notice they also drove these on the island in the newer season (5 to be exact) when they were taken back to 1977.
