wow, what a vocal crowd, Ricky Steamboat was one of the best at getting the crowd into it by the way he sold, all the top wrestlers loved to work with him because he made it so easy for them to work with him.

It's for the Mid-Atlantic heavyweight belt not the TV title (Patera held that title for over a year). Took place in Asheville NC at the Civic Center. Ref is Tommy Young.

Look at those fans! You think WWE or Vince ever get half that reaction for the BS they put on today? Those fans were going to murder Patera if the ref didn't change the decision.

Steamboat was never more shredded and HOT than here. Would love to see more stuff of him from this period!

damn, ricky is absolutely shredded for this match - even his butt :) his upper back is awesome, and as always he sells beautifully, although the second bear hug is pretty bogus. son richie is not blessed with his dad's physique or his charisma.
