On Monday, September 19th the Italian Cultural Institute presented the new book "Temporary Perfections", by Italian writer Gianrico Carofiglio. The book presentation was very animated and fueled by an open dialogue between the writer and audience. Some very intriguing discussions covered some of the plots from his books and short stories and the construction of his characters' identities.
Carofiglio explained how his profession as a public prosecutor, as well as the works of his favorite authors such as Franz Kafka, John Steinbeck, Italo Calvino and Emilio Lossu, influence his writing process.
As the evening came to a conclusion, Carofiglio could be found enjoying refreshments while conversing with many of the event's attendees.
