What a waste of an apparently wonderful young man - to have been killed by thuggish street crime! Reprehensible.

i Just accidetly stumbled upon this while searching for videos for taps. personally, i didn;t know garret, I knew fellow shipmate who knew him, I actually live down the street from the pizza place he was shot at. I was heart broken to hear about a fellow sailor's murder, and I can say God be with their family, This brought tears to my eyes. RIP shipmate.

Garrett is a great American, I was very priviledged to know him. even as a child ,Garrett was a great kid who was raised by two of the most wonderfull parents anyone could ask for. his funeral was the most emotional celebrations I have ever attended. I am so glad Garrett was brought to Jesus and saved as a child, Garrett really was a hero to all of us. Garrett was killed along with his cousin one of my best friends TONY DANDINI, another really great human and my great friend. !RIP MY BROTHERS!

Garrett Dandini did 3 tours of Iraq and 1 tour of Korea, and all at such a young age. A great Christian and an AMERICAN HERO who loved the Lord and his country.
