A good movie and it's the fine cast that makes it float. I liked it a lot despite the disenchanted criticisms from the peanut gallery, lol. Nice entertainment. Thanks for letting us have the opportunity to view this early film. Hey, it's the first time I heard George Sanders sing!

@bsjt Spoiler!

A good film is made on the back of its own merits...... this film does not impress. I will add however, that when talking with a young woman the other day , about General Knowledge... she nothing about Mechanics, Design, Archaeology, Politics, Mythology, Genetics or ANYTHING else I brought up in General discussion. WHAT THE HELL ARE WE TEACHING OUR KIDS?> Do we do this to young women, to deliberately keep them dumb, or do we do it to boys as well?.

I found the 2nd part of the movie more enjoyable and Mr Sanders is as enjoyable as ever)

Thanks so much for uploading "Green Hell"! I am a devoted George Sanders fan and I managed to get a copy of the movie (taped from tv, I'm sure) on Ebay. You only get to hear George sing in five movies.

That was hilarious - George Sanders killing himself moments too early! A fine mix of camp, comic bits and a lot of queer subtext.

James Whale was a great director. In spite of his ill feelings toward this work of his, I was thoroughly entertained by the performances of such a fine cast.

It wasn't that bad. It was watchable.
It's corny but the cast is superb!

of course Vincent didn't like it. No actor likes the only movie he dies in before act three. It makes him look as stupid as the people who don't like this film. It was well directed, exciting, full of action, believable and interesting characters, an interesting well told story. Undeniably better than the goofy spaghetti westerns and modern gangster crap that is in imdb's top 250, but that's not saying a lot. Still, this was a good film, you must admit.
