Nvidia's new Tegra 2 system on a chip. This is the 250 Development Board straight from Nvidia. It's running Ubuntu Linux thanks to the fellow developers because Nvidia hasn't released their official Linux distro yet. This is the system that will be in most mobile devices from Smartphone, MIDs to even Netbooks. Sorry there isn't too much to show since it's a 'hacked' together implementation, but none-the-less it's the next best thing!

  • what are the measurements of the board itself (in inches/centimeters) ?

  • @validir1 I dont remember for sure, but it was smaller than a 6.7x6.7in miniITX motherboard, maybe 4x4in

  • Thanks for the comments! I'm going to put the rootfs on an SD card as soon as I can get to the store, lol. Hopefully the speed will increase.

  • How much is this?

  • My comment keeps failing to post sadly..

Can you detail about Ubuntu ARM not working with multiple cores? Is the CPU being seriously taxed just running the OS? If so that isnt good for Ubuntu ARM as if its anymore than 5 percent or so its costing devs a bunch of power needed for games.

Any chance of running that XBMC ARM build?

  • Not the best demo of Tegra 2 ever. And are you saying that ARM ubuntu does not spread threads across cores out of the box? Good grief that is bad!

How much did this thing cost btw? Any chance Nvidia is planning to make a desktop board people can buy like the beagleboard?

  • Is the usb a 2.0 or a 3.0? Aswell, the sd card could hold your boot files and you could put an external hdd in the usb to hold all of your misc files. Very awesome setup you have though, I'd love to have one of these.
