Franz Liszt - Concert Etude No.3 (Un Sospiro)

"Un sospiro" (Italian, for "a sigh") is the third of Franz Liszt's Trois études de concert (Three Concert Études). It is also sometimes referred to as Étude No. 39, and is a piano solo in D-flat major. However, it is likely that the title did not originate with Liszt. Although there is no evidence that he actively attempted to remove the subtitle "Un sospiro," none of the editions or subsequent printings of the Trois études published by Kistner during Liszt's lifetime used them; he simply ignored such subtitles in later years, always referring with his pupils to the piece by key.

  • Stunning.

  • Excellent work!!!

I wish I can play it as well as you... I'm still working on polishing this piece... feels like my fingers are too short >.<

  • More applause please....!

  • You have an amazing ability to play many different genres beautifully. It is really good to see someone play the classics, standards and new age like you do. Evidently you have had many years of study and practice. Do you tour? Have CD's?

  • This piece is much simpler then i thought. I decided to learn Scriabin op 8 12 instead of this because i thought i wasnt ready for it.

  • Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

  • Beautiful performance!

  • I heard this in the movie Tokyo Boy. Since then it has become a favourite of mine. Beautifully played.
