Lully: Marche pour la Ceremonie des Turcs, theorbo version

This is my own theorbo arrangement of "Marche pour la Ceremonie des Turcs" by Lully. The original piece comes from ballet "Le bourgeois gentilhomme" composed by Lully in 1670. The instrument is "Théorbe de pieces" in d (a'=392). Actually I have stringed and tuned my archlute (Stephen Barber, 1987) to a high theorbo. Such wonderful arrangement and performance. Very nice as usual !

I have a little question, I have an archlute that I'm not using so much anymore and I'm thinking of stringing it as a theorbo so I can explore DeVisee and friends. Since you have done a similar process, could you give me some pointers on how to do it ? Obviously I have to get a full set of new strings, but should I have it in G/A or D, like you did ? I'm realy inspired to do it now since I've seen you pull it off :)

@10stringGuitarist Thanks! Well, if you play solo, the actual pitch doesn't matter. You can for ex take the top g string to the 3rd string. Then you would get a theorbo "in f". Perhaps a little lower would sound better. Why not "in d" when a'=392Hz - as mine. Then it would be in "modern sense a=440" theorbo "in c"...
