During the mid-70s, director Chor Yuen started a new trend of signature-style chivalrous martial arts films based on the works of popular novelist Gu Long. From 1976 on, a shortlist of Gu Long stories Chor Yuen brought to screen included Full Moon Scimitar, The Jade Tiger, The Magic Blade, The Proud Twins, and Death Duel, quite a few of which would feature star of the day Ti Lung. This iron triangle of Chor Yuen, Ti Lung, and Gu Long also produced a very well-received series of Sentimental Swordsman films. Perils of the Sentimental Swordsman, released in 1982, revolves around the adventures of dashing wandering swordsman Chu Liuxiang (Chor Lau Heung). This film brings Ti Lung's Chu to the eerie mountaintop Ghostly Village, where he attempts to infiltrate a notorious gang of outlaws. He is met with spectres, assassins, traps, and plentiful perils as he gets pulled deeper and deeper into the mysteries of the village.

@GANEY112 There are 2 subtitles chose in 'caption selection' part in CC: English /Turkish. In UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia and some states of US, `CC` is properly work. But i learned that 'CC' may be not working a few states in US. (I learned this information after upload them). You should check youtube setting or send a complaint e-mail to youtube about activation of 'cc' button.

Unfortunatly this problem is not because of me.

For Subtitles, look at "cc".

I have no idea why the movie name is translated as "Perils of the Sentimental Swordsman. Because this advanture is not about the Sentimental Swordsman, I mean Li Xunhuan. The Leading character is Chu Liu Hsiang, and the real translation of title from mandarin to english is; Chu Liu Xiang in The Ghost Villa

So I just minimize the title as  "ghostly village" !

This is an excellent movie.The story is great and so is the cast and action.Costumes and props are excellent as well.All and all this is a 5* classic in my opinion.
