Belkin Laptop Cooling Pad Review with Temperatures

Belkin Laptop Cooling Pad Review. For use with my 13" macbook. I was having overheating issues with my macbook when using graphics intensive programs. The temperatures would climb above 90 degrees c on the cpu, and 35+ on the bottom of the enclosure. After using the Belkin Laptop Cooling Pad, temps wouldn't climb over 76 on the cpu no matter how long I ran wow, final cut, or other graphics intensive programs. The fan is loud, but it keeps it cool. Most of the whisper quiet cooling pads don't work at all, so if you want performance, give this a shot. $39.95 at Staples in Canada.

The cooling pad basically didn't work. That drop in temps could have been achieved by putting it on that stand and not even plugging the USB in.

@DSDMovies Nope. Tried that. It does cool down on the stand alone, but it takes upwards of half an hour before any appreciable drop in temperature is noted. With the fan running, it cools off in a matter of minutes.

how do clean the belkin? Do you have any tips to maintain the belkin cooling pad?

@anikazangel1 use compressed air o blow out the fan, that is all that is needed.

Don't buy Belkin Cooling Pad. The fan blade2 are made out of really poor quality. Mine just broke in 2 days.

Dear Pleiadian32. I bought one after seeing your review.

My laptop prior to the laptop cooler use to get pretty hot after 2-5 hours of gaming.

First day with the laptop cooler, everything went decent. However, the third day(today), the cooler completely shutdown.

I tried plugging it in on all of my ports, as well as my other laptops/desktops. No luck. Any suggestions?

I bought this one and it works. It just works. My laptop stops freeze from the moment I put it on cooling pad from belkin. Measuring by core temp shows 10-20 degree c.

DO NOT RECCOMEND. The fan is VERY fragile, and if you carry this around, it WILL eventually break.
