I'm not even Southern, and I can understand why they're bitter. History classes praise the Union, and demonize the South. My history classes that covered the Civil War at least did. Also, the South, and Germany & Japan are quite different. The South just wanted to peacefully leave the Union. Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Germany declared war on the US after the US declared war on Japan. Japan and Germany both started crap. The South didn't.
