A pigeon with broken wings, dying in the street.

Notice: I did not hurt the bird, and I mercifully put it out of its misery instantly and painlessly. Feel free to send me hate mail about what a horrible person I am. I will not read it.

it it had broken wings it wouldnt be flapping around. it probly hit the windshield of a car and boke a few ribs which caused it to die from one of two ways--- internal bleeding or shock.

It looks like it was just temporarily stunned. had you taken it in it probably would have fully recovered. I wish people would do their research before they make rash decisions

Not broken wings. Seemed to have equilibrium problems. Mu guess is it flew into something and suffered a concussion. It might have recovered if protected and given a few days.

If anything, it flew in to a car. It's gonna die anyway.

I don't think that's just a broken wing. If it was, it'd still be able to stand up. I breed pigeons & when they are unable to stand it's usually something serious; either it has a common neuropathic disease & will die regardless, or something is more physically wrong with it like a broken back. In any case, what is a person supposed to do? Stomp on it? Take it to the vet? It's a common street pigeon, most vets wouldn't care to help it & if they did, it would be very expensive. What would you do?
