Almost every weekend there is vandalism along the B245 London Road. There is a major problem with drink in the area, now many local shops and petrol stations, who are open till late at night, are licensed by the Council to sell
alcohol. I have lived here for years and 'in the old days' lots of local shops were closed but I have really noticed the vandalism since shops opened late.Isn't it about time booze licencing hours were reduced since we are mostly paying for the damage they cause and policing. It is not just vandalism it is causing, there are road traffic crashes due to drink and domestic violence, hidden by closed doors. The elections are coming up, it is time for change, councils should ban shops having booze late at night, including supermarkets. I
The situation has improved a lot. Several people were arrested. Not perfect, but not as bad as before. Some good news
