I used to love these cheap style adverts which consisted of a still and a voiceover. Usually with some stilted-sounding announcer reading from a cue card. Very much like they used to do at the cinema, when they'd have a still and local voiceover cobbled onto the end of a professionally made advertisement. Class.
It's David Strachan in-vision - another GTV announcer, Jimmy Spankie, voices the Currys ad.
This is a terrific find - normally, it's a struggle to find any GTV continuity, even up to the closure of Aberdeen's pres department in '98, which makes this clip stand out from the crowd.
