"Changes somehow frighten me, still I have to smile" ... I remember singing this song in my twenties and could'nt quite understand what this meant. Now, in my 50s, I appreciate that it's about how insecure you become when you start getting old and people start taking things away from you, and you just have to smile and take it. as part of life. A great John Denver song.

I Miss You So Much John. You & Annie Together...

To me this is the perfect summary of John's life. It really shows how being a musician/peformer gives him real joy and happiness as he does it despite sacrificing his own time when there is "still so much to do".
I can't actually describe how much I love this song.

Beautiful song. One that really got me interested in JD.
Thank you for up loading this. John Denver was a staple in my upbringing & this may be my favorite song growing up. I remember always wanting to see him in concert but I sadly never got the chance. RIP John, we definitely miss you down here.

I just re-found this song after only hearing my father sing it to me my entire childhood. I'm 21 now, and it makes me miss him terribly. Thanks for the upload.

I only discovered this song in November last year, despite me having heard a few other songs by John Denver over the years. This really got me more in to his music.
Thanks for uploading it, awesome song!

This has always been my own personal favourite JD song since I first heard it on his 'Best of John Denver' or 'John Demver's Greatest Hits' album back in the 1970s. It was the same album with the same songs, same cover and a different titlle. There were many great songs on that album, but this was the one that meant most to me.
Thank you for your kind comment. You are always welcome.
