We have an exciting, brand new documentary called "Flying Down to Kabul". This is the story of Simone Aaberg Kærn helping an Afgahn girl achieve her dream of flying. One day, Simone reads in her morning newspaper the plight of a young Afghan girl who has a dream to become a fighter pilot. "Flying Down to Kabul" is a 3,000 mile journey from Denmark to Kabul and the realization of the dream to fly. "Flying Down to Kabul" is not about the war, but about the dream to fly.

Pourquoi aucun journal télévisé ne parle jamais de ce genre de choses ? Parce que les bonnes nouvelles font baisser l'audimat et que si l'audimat baisse les recettes publicitaire baissent.
En tout cas bravo Simone ;-à)

I recall watching this docu at the International Documentary Festival of Amsterdam 2004, its international premiere, going nearly crazy with vertigo in my seat, but then, 2:30 the moment that she manages to fly over that 5000 m mountain top and says "We made it!", and she has this blissful, nearly stoned look on her face, you won't believe the elation in the room during the screening! It was contagious.
