http://www.bjdcollectasy.com/ Body Blushing a boy doll can be a little tricky. It is very easy to over-blush when the doll has a muscled body. This tutorial shows how to define the sculpt without over-coloring it. The doll, a Ringdoll Ringteenager Pan, was colored using artist's pastels, an umber watercolor pencil, and Mr. SuperClear. Special thanks to Ringdoll http://www.ringdoll.com/index.html and to The JunkySpot http://junkyspot.com/.

  • what if their white skin

  • No problem. You can blush white skin dolls just like you can face-up white skin dolls.

  • Artist pastels are high-quality soft pastels that are used in fine art. They have a lot of pigment and very little binding agent. They have vivid colors. I don't think the spray shellac will work. Testors flat lacquer will work and I have used that, though I like Mr. Super Clar better. Depending on where you live, you can order flat spray lacquer online. I get my MSC from Junkyspot. Pastels can also be purchased online. I bought mine from Dick Blick. You can buy single sticks or full sets.

  • I notice you said 2 coats, is that before you do any blushing and then do a finished coat? Am thinking about doing my own face up & body work m'self

  • Yes, 2 light coats so you are sure not to miss a spot, one coat to seal.

  • Do you need to disassemble the doll to MSC it?

  • I disassembled my Planet Doll girl, but I kept Pan whole and tried not to spray too much in the joints. I did take off his hands as well as his head. I have so far not had a problem with his blushing. It was a little harder to spray some parts, but it worked out fine for me that way. I think as long as you make sure you get light even coats on the surface of the doll you are fine whichever method you decide to do.

  • Its Justin bibers twin

  • Thanks very much for this video, I am slowly working up the courage to blush my doll and this really helped me out I feel much more confident I can do it having seen someone else do it. Seeing is much different than reading about it and just seeing pictures.

  • @BJDcollectasy

I'm curious.. Can "Bulls eye shellac - Craft" sealer work as a substitute for Mr. SuperClear? It's the only sealant that any local stores here sell that seems usable O-o everything else comes with gloss or would defiantly ruin a doll..

And what exactly are artist pastels? None of the craft or art stores in my town or the few around sell them they sell Oil pastels, Soft pastels, compressed chalk pastels (Easiest to turn to powder..), and regular chalk pastels...

  • Thank you so much for your videos, they're going to help me a ton when I get my first girl. ^_^

But can I ask what music was on this video. it was soo pretty. *-*
