That was a beautiful composition, Michael. Very reflective and relaxing music. Watched this in 720P, and it took a while to load, but the sound was superb. It's too bad you can't get 256 kbps AAC on lower resolution videos. There should be an option for musicians to improve the audio quality without being forced to upload an HD video.

@SqwishTV: Thanks Jeff! I used to do a lot of work on video formats before things started to settle down on YouTube. When I first started out I was astonished to learn that videos played back in monaural sound ... so I carried out a load of experiments uploading in flv format and finally found a way to get stereo.
These experiments were to determine the lowest trigger point for HD playback using recordings made with a low-fi webcam. I still have the notes I made at the time ... cont

@SqwishTV: #2: and when I find them I will send them to you. With this method you can take an old video and transcode it into "pseudo" HD format and you get much better sound quality due to the fact that the HD format allows more bandwidth for the audio.
All the software used is freeware and quite easy to use. I even saved all the screenshots so the settings are already worked out for you.
Regards ... Michael

@SqwishTV: #3: A good example of the flv method is "Sunny Sunday Afternoon" .... use the blue link (&fmt=18) in the notes and you will notice that the video opens in a much larger screen and the sound is much better. The uploaded file size was tiny compared to the HD videos available now - only some 11.4 Mb in size.
The method was also suitable for sending videos by email - with a little tweaking you could get the files to just under 10 Mb and send them as an attachment.
