The Marine Fisheries thinks there is only small red snapper but they are wrong again here is why . No one can really know for sure what is in the oceans The Marine Fisheries goes by what the commercial fishermen bring to the dock and for the past few years the economy has been so bad the fish house has us trying to only bring in the smaller fish like red snapper they want them under 4lb. and king mackerel under 15 lb and the larger fish we do bring in is worth less money. The sad thing we try to tell the ones who are doing so call research on the snapper by taking the ear bone out of snapper. But it does not matter they do not ever ask us any questions and do not seem to care what we have to say. Here we are catching red snapper in about 150 foot of water. They are all over even far away from any rigs or reefs we only troll down about 28foot and the snapper are thick we can see them on the bottom machine. I have got to get me a under water camera. The so call conservation groups like the cca have made stopping the commercial fishing in to a big money making business with the donations from the public that does not know what is really going on and from the grovernment grants for their bad data on the fish. Please do not believe all their lies. I do not see any fish endanger of extinction.Read my channel info

  • how many pounds were those snappers??

  • I fished for a lot of years, out of Jupiter Fl.We almost always jerked a bug while the planers fished. When a King got on a planer it would come to the top,U drop the bug line and haul in the fish.

We had elect. reels with a "coaster break" to haul in the jerk lines.Y'all ever use that method?

    Thanks Jeff

  • better stop worrying about this dude catching all the fish and start worrying about him drinking all the beer in the country...

  • @joyztik all you need is a few planers, some green and/or pink spoons, and a boat that'll do about 3 knots. rig up the planer, put a leader about 5 to 12 ft on it, and rig up the spoon on about 6" of wire and you'll be catchin king and spanish mackerel in no time

  • They say the same thing about the red drum here yet they are only as thick as they were 15 years ago when there was no trip limit ! Where's the research being done ? Other than at the dock on the fish we catch ? The only research vessels i see, set a few hundred yards of net in the wrong locations, catch undersized fish with the wrong sized nets, then implement laws accordingly ! What the FU-- ?

  • Nice video but those snapper are small in new zealand we get them up to 50pounds average around 20 pounds
