  • Sorry, but that looks tacky. Clunky white rocks.... would have been better to put in a week barrier and let it have just a natural flow into the lawn.

  • very crappy im sorry

  • I have a small yard but want to edge my garden. I understand using a smalle edging spade but noone is talking about what to use as a base and leveling material. Sand, peagravel, builders sand etc.

  • I used to be a big fan of using materials to edge. But the cost of doing it right is nuts and in the midwest you still get some shifting and heaving. Because I change things up alot to prevent boredom I find using any materials is a waste of time and money. Plus it breaks up the beauty and simplicity of the natural flow of the yard. I use many techniques, but the best way is to use the spade and mini trench method. Go three to four inches and your edges will look spectacular. Plus you save!!!

  • You can edge by using an edging shovel or even a spade..lay out your bed and cut a 4" deep edge right into the ground. When you mulch or put your stone in..don't feel the edge up the whole way. I prefer to edge right into the ground or a cut stone border
