  • this is one of their very best from their best album in my opinion. love midge's twisted guitar at the start, and, as much as i hate the expression 'rocks', the bass line rocks!! amazing piano and the freaky birds sound at the end - wonderful stuff!

  • Visage 'lost it' when the Midge Ure/Ultravox collaboration ended.............it was a pity as well composed electronics/good lyrics/fashion all suited Visage very nicely.......

  • One of my favorites too!

Again We Love and Look What They've Done were my faves from their best album.

  • the anvil is my favorite visage album.. serious and sexy,.

  • What a PERFECT song!

  • My fave Visage tune. Disadainful, austere, almost cruel. Colder than cool. Synth power and implacable method, augmented by the agonised writhings of the electric guitar. Love it.

  • @redlipstickgurl Hey that's amazing that your friend was produced by Midge. He seems like a nice guy and absolutely love his contribution to Ultravox (and Visage). Rich Kids were good too. There's an great hour long interview with him on here where he talks through his whole life and music career... "Midge Ure - Sound TV interview 2005". I like Steve Strange's voice too.

  • @redlipstickgurl No he didn't but he did do a great single in 1983 with Mick Karn called 'After A Fashion' which is on youtube. Plus he also did a live TV performance with Mick of David Bowie's 'Star'. Both on here I think and really cool!

  • @redlipstickgurl yeah me too Brenda! Midge had a lot of talent in so many areas - guitar, electronics, vocals, production. I don't normally like to go on about people being 'underrated' but Midge is one of a very few in my opinion who has been seriously underraretd by the music press over the years, not that I care what they think! And I think the first two Visage albums are really amazing.

  • Still not sure why this single didn't get a proper 12" treatment...so brilliant!

  • @kenshin8486 wow good eye!
