Just showing what the bottom of a Vespa engine looks like after 44 years. It lived a fairly mild life though. I'm sure there is much worse to be found.

  • Sludge is supposed to be white.

  • You keep refering to the primary gear cluster as the lay shaft, the output shaft is hollow, the gear selector rod connects to the cruciform to allow gear selection through the gear slector box on a basic 2 cable pulley system. Good videos, poor terminology. Good luck with the restoration though

  • Man i been thinkin about getting an old vespa to restore, thinkin about a 64-68 ss 180 is what i would like.

  • What did you clean it with and what manual are you referencing?
