Going through the tunnel of red and yellow maple leaves (momiji tunnel) on the little Eizan Railway in the mountains of northern Kyoto. Every year from the middle to the end of November, the Eizan Railway illuminates a particularly good section of its track after dusk, and the train driver shuts off all the internal lights and drives slowly through the "momiji tunnel." The town of Kibune just before the terminal station of Kurama has a lantern walk with illuminated displays.
