  • So, what is this phantom turntable you keep talking about?

I've been looking, in thrift stores, for one of those spring loaded turntables they made for the old microwave ovens that didn't have one built in. I found some on eBay but I'm not spending $40 on something I'm going to stick in the back of the 4X just so I can shoot some 360 degree, regulated speed, panoramic shots. I've even looked at some broken music boxes to see if I can use the mechanism/s from that.

  • @lostburro - the turntable is something thats been in the design phase for the last few months, based on a request I made to servocity. and I'm still waiting for the first one to be finished so I can test it. the basic unit is very well made, and you could set it up to turn cameras just as well as products. all quality made (not cheap plastic). as soon as I have mine, I will post a review on it

  • Which do you think you like better? Do you think you like the firearms better, or the video production? It sure looks like you would have trouble with that question, lol. Lucky for you, you can do video production of firearms. Combind hobbies.

  • @Jesses001 - I have a fine collection of firearms, run a firearms website, I'm a gunsmith, and spent 16 years working on weapons in the Army. weapons is my life, taking photos, and shooting videos of them is a hobby. lol

  • @weaponeer I get the idea, and fully understand. Have fun with your hobby and the firearms.

  • @Jesses001 I try......

  • @ZombieTactics - I have been waiting for the new rotating table for like 2 months now. I have 27 videos waiting for that darn table and I don't even get to get an ETA until after Jan 2nd... drat..I wanted the new setup to start the new year with, so without that I have been getting a few of the video gear videos out of the way while waiting. It looks like I will be shooting video on the rifle rest, and AK scope long before the table shows up. but when it does... it should be interesting.

  • I hear you occasionally do videos about guns, right? Just bustin your chops, man. I learn a lot from these vids. ;-)
