DJ MARKY
(Sao Paulo, Brazil)(Innergrouns Records)
DJ Marky's live sets are world renowned for their diversity and exhibitionism, as he decimates turntables with energetic scratch attacks and plunders his record box for the freshest new tracks and tried and tested floor fillers.
Following on from the successes of "The Brazilian Job" (Movement) and "Bingo Sessions: Vol. 2" (Bingo), the new studio mix "DJ Marky & Friends Presents: The Master Plan" is a rollercoaster ride through the latest, greatest and as yet unreleased tracks from DJ Marky's groundbreaking label Innerground Records. Featuring a host of the tracks, which made the label what it is today, from artists such as Calibre, DJ Marky & XRS, Random Movement and Zero Tolerance & Beta 2 and recorded on a 100% LIVE setup, "The Master Plan" is set to be the mix album of the year.
On top of his label and touring commitments, DJ Marky is always seeking new challenges and looking to spread his iconic brand of Drum & Bass to the masses and especially when it comes to creating a crossover appeal. Therefore when the offer cam though to remix the classic Carl Cox track "I Want You", he simply couldn't resist. The remix is a project being handled by CR2 Records in London and is shaping up to be one of the remixes of 2007. Featuring on the remix credits is none other than A-Sides, who has collaborated with DJ Marky for his own label Eastside Records in the past, and currently features on The Master Plan Part 2 EP with the track "Tonight", devised by himself, Marky & Makoto. The duo are forming an unprecedented partnership with a deadly combination of flair and engineering prowess, forthcoming tracks from A-Sides and Marky are sure to be floating on the airwaves almost constantly in the coming months, so keep an eye on the websites for more news updates.
Stay tuned to the websites for a detailed look at forthcoming dates for DJ Marky's Australian and New Zealand tour, Spring 2008 and also for details of the awesome Carl Cox remix project.
