It is NOT the law, RTE/An Post. It is statute, which is merely given colour of law by the consent of the governed. I say we should privatise RTE. Cut them loose and wait for them to fail.

@haribokey I use my TV sets for games, dvd,s, video,s and cctv, mt tv,s are not conected to an antenna or dish, So why dont you piss off with your stale arguments about having to own a tv licence, Anyway it is not the law, its a contract

@reksub10 The advert is for the Republic of Ireland and here if you have a device capable of receiving a TV signal here you need a licence for it.
