This is the first song I wrote. Hope you enjoy it!

What We're There For
Drinkin' a warm Coke in a glass,
Dreamin' n' drinkin' and thinkin' about things.
Set it down on a brick on the floor
While I curb my speculations.

It's not much of a table...
But it does what it's there for.

Sometimes I look on life with some
Cynical amusement.
Like we're all just puppets on a string,
Not capable of anything.

Can't see the woods for all the trees...
As if we're really supposed to.
Can't judge the leaders for who they lead...
Or who they think they're opposed to.
Can't say nothin' 'bout you or me...
We're just doin' what we're there for.

And I ask the gods above,
Is there any point to it all.
All the love, the fighting and the pain,
Does it mean anything at all?

They never answer me 'cause I'm only part of the question...
Doin' what it's there for.
