one of my favorite pieces we've ever played. i love these two movements in particular.
i think variations on a korean folk song beats this one though. i was a freshman when we did this one, and a senior when we did variations, and variations absolutely kicked my ass.

Oh, our tradition seems to be to play Pilatus. I like it, decent tuba parts. I'm begging my band director to let us play 2nd Suite again, but he won't have us...

Yeah, it's sort of a tradition to play it at our school, but we don't play it until the end of the year, after the concert. I wish we'd practice and actually be able to play it, lol.
