They are brilliant :)
They move as one person and make it look so effortless. It must have taken so much practice to remember every move and get the timing just right like that. They really are professional.

Now this is ice dancing at its best. What ice dancers do these days is adagio, not ice dance - including our current Olympic Medalists. I love the fact that Chris and Jayne equally share difficulty, and it compels me to watch and enjoy both of them. Usually these days, the man "presents" the woman, so she's the one to watch.
Don't know why this is called Fame. It's "Let's Face the Music" I think.

I can watch this couple all day, they are amazing. Watching the winter olympics this year just goes to show that the competitors now days think that they have to put crowd pleasing tricks into their routine, where as really, less is more if it is done as proffesionally as Chris and Jane,

This program is SO amazing. Their speed at the start is incredible from such seeminly little movement (long strokes, and perfect unison knee bend).
Their edge work is unbelievable, closeness, precision. Jayne Torvill's techinique is superb. Chris Dean choreographed EVERYone of their ODs and FDs (all SO original). And, of course, they improved further!
IMHO no team has matched them since, as a whole package.

Great Programme

You said it!

Sculling on ice is so easy it's like floating.
Wouldn't think Dean was a police officer, would you? He got a lot of stick for being a professional ice skater. But, hey, he is half of the one of the best, if not the best, figure skating couples in the history of figure skating!

Even as early as 1981 people were realizing that they were probably the best Ice Dancers ever!!!!!!!!!!! After watching them skate I find myself a little embarassed for other ice dancers. What they're doing pales in comparison.
