@4WDTRD1 Not sure where you got your information, but Toyota made straight axles well into the 90s. The FJ80 and LX450 both had straight axles when they stopped production in 97.

LOL! dude, I couldnt get an exact price, its not like I just ordered a kit offline or something. I would say if you want to do this right, be prepared to spend $20,000
