Tobie dałam serce swe (Mon coeur est un violon) (Muz. Miarka Laparcerie) - Wiesława Frejmanówna, Muza ca 1947 (?)
NOTE: Dozens of best singers included that wonderful slowfox in their repertoirs (Lucienne Boyer, André Claveau, Lucienne Delyle, Bing Crosby or Luis Mariano) and best remembered is ofcourse immortal version by Lucienne Boyer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDT2Vd5OvBM
The song was composed by Miarka Laparcerie, who was a grand-daughter of a French poet Jules Richepin. She also wrote lyrics, based upon one of his poems.
This lovely Polish version is sung by Wiesława Frejmanówna, who in years 1940s and 50s recorded a few sides with songs from repertoire of Lucienne Boyer or Yves Montand http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbrg7wyOC1c In the end of 1950s her name suddenly disappears - maybe she emigrated on the wave of post-stalinist emmigration from the communist Poland? Her German-sounding name "Frejman" ("ówna" is a Polish ending for unmarried women) could be as well Jewish.
This side belongs to favourite records of my childhood. When I was a boy, I could sit and listen and listen to it, with no end. And I regret I can't write anything more about that unusual Polish singer.
Fine Song!

Beautiful polish version, thank you!
Among others, worth mentioning also Zarah Leander, with a strangely soft voice, in Kleine geige sag adieu

Lovely, more updated version of this beloved song. Charming post-war fashion. Yes, Frejman could be the Yiddish pronunciation of Freimann.

This version is very modern, I think! This Orchestra and this nice voice are in delicacy. Thanks.
