@IllusionaryUsername Are you serious? he clearly says-''Certainly better bred than the owner''.

What the hell does Bond say at 5:59?
"Certainly but a bread in the honor"
Sometimes characters in these old movies are flat out unintelligible.

I'm really enjoying your reviews, but please please do me the courtesy of saying 'Aston Martin' [pronounced: Ass-ton Mar-tin], rather than 'Ashton Martin'.
The choice of cars in Casino Royale was a nice tip of the hat to Goldfinger and Majesty, as Craig gets to drive both a DB5 (from Goldfinger), and the recently iconic DBS (Majesty's Aston shared the same name, however packed a smaller V8 engine, rather than the modern V12).

the movie was great but i still dont get why did they overuse the backdrops? i mean if the actors were really playing cards in the hotel why did they use a backdrop while filming the old man?

Hey man, great Review. I have a question. Did you ever get any trouble with YouTube because of the footage you used from the movies? I've been thinking about making Movie-Reviews, but I don't want to have trouble with this stupid copyright bullshit. Thanks!

Each scene and set piece is special in it's own right as well as in the context of the film. A great DVD for scene selection. Guy Hamilton created the lighter hearted style but his others would not live up to this. I love it because it's pure escapism, an elaborate fantasy. Connery maybe starts not taking things as seriously here though and thats not always a good thing

This is one hell of a film. All the classic elements perfected here. Girls, gadgets, guns galore. If I've any critism of it it's that a lot of what it created would ultimately be what led to the series downfall at times. This film itself though makes it entertaining and class and it just constantly tries to outdo itself. Everything about it is memorable and I give it a 10
You say the locations are boring, but that is a purely American viewpoint. To the British viewer, where Bond is based; Miami and Kentucky are anything but boring- and that would have been especially true in 1964.

Didn't think about that, that's interesting. I just figured Europe was universally recognized as being more exotic than the US on an international level.
