Brome Lake Duck rocks! My local Farm Boy stocks it, whole ducks, breasts, legs(regular and confit) and rendered duck fat for roasting. It is my new favourite bird to eat, even more so than chicken (and I love me some chicken).

@johnjohnmajortom Anybody with a brain cares about Quebec city. Best city in Canada, all the great food and history of Montreal, but with less attitude (and this is coming from an Anglo)

@Veevie74 With the free medical system life expectancy is one of the best in the world. Also, normal peeps in quebec don't eat fat like that this is a TV show.

Having sampled a bit of MTL by way of Bourdain's new show, I wanted to see more of MTL and I discovered this. It aired 5 months ahead of Bourdain's episode and portrays the MTL in winter, while Bourdain's episode of MTL was shot in summer and aired in winter.

There's a couple of spots where I think he really rubs the Québécois the wrong way, but BOY was I blown away. How is it that all this time I never came to know this little piece of heaven that is Montreal? Martin Picard is a god and so is the Joe Beef dude!!
