Damn you, I came up with this idea without realising anyone else had, but obviously it's an awesome idea, so it makes sense someone else has done it already. Also, it sounds fucking awesome.

Super sweet! I'm just wondering, if you want to clear the samples do you pick up the unit and shake it?

@CReadiusPro
that is technically possible of course. surprisingly your the first person to ask. Most people just ask if the knobs work.

Wow man, I've been meaning to upgrade one of these. I currently have a mpd24 and I know you can do so much more with monome. Are they hard to put together?

the monome electronics are very easy to build even for beginners, especially now with the newer kits. The fun part is building an enclosure for it. A little creativity goes a long ways. check CDM's recent post for some more inspiration. The vintage radio is one of my favorites.

How did you set up live to act as a sampler like in the video? What I mean is, you are able to activate multiple clips in a vertical row, something that the normal clip view doesn't allow. Or did you just midi map each individual clip to a button? I tried to do that, but for some reason it wasn't letting me map them.

@TheRealDrDude I mapped every button to it's own clip in live. This is a fun way to play the monome but is rather limiting in regards to live performance as you can only have one "song" loaded at a time.
