The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) hosts kitchen licensing workshops several times a year for farmers and others wishing to process commercial foods in their kitchens. Topics include licensing requirements, food safety, and liability insurance. Part one of this workshop features the following panel: Dr. Beth Calder, Food Science Specialist for the University of Maine Cooperative Extension; Marshall Piper, Consumer Protection Inspector, Maine Department of Agriculture; and Cheryl Wixson, MOFGA's resident chef.
