Quest Community Church Review

The folks at Quest Community Church in Lexington, KY were nice enough to invite a cranky unbeliever like myself out to witness their church firsthand. I have to give them props for that. Anyway, here's the review. For more, see my blog: sanityproject.com

You didn't. My bestfriend found it and told me to watch it bc she goes to that church. I was 45 seconds into it and I said forget this. If all he's gonna do is make fun of a church I'm not gonna listen

@cutiepielovesyou1 Precisely. I didn't make you hop on YouTube, I didn't press play, and I didn't make you watch it. So what exactly are you complaining about? It's amazing to me that religious people think it's ok to tell people like myself I deserve eternal torture, but if we turn around and make a few jokes on YouTube, they act oppressed. People have different opinions. Some of your fellow Quest-goers have even messaged me to tell me they found the video funny. Takes all kinds, ya know?

@fishinky365 Quest is very similar to a church in Texas called Fellowship of the Woodlands with Pastor Shook. I do enjoy the entertainment value with my Christian friends. Pastor Shook primary focuses on sound psychological advice framed through a Christian lens. Even as an Atheist I see the social and psychological high that a Church sells to its followers. I always feel like I should contribute the price of a movie ticket when they pass the offering plate.

To be fair even the scoffers and mockers have the same free will/freedom of speech we Christians do when we post sermons etc online publicly. If people want to spend their lives without Jesus in this life, Jesus allows them the free will to choose to live that way (weather they believe He does or not) and why would Jesus force himself on these same people by making them live with him for eternity? Answer: He wont, Jesus created a place for those who reject him and the gift He offers.
